Callander's Walk in the Past

LET'S GO!

Walk Description

This walk uses photos from the Callander Heritage Society to show you how different parts of central Callander looked like in years gone by.

Your route is flexible, but an interesting start point is the Station Road car park, at the coach drop off point, to see how it looked when tourists used to arrive in Callander by train.

You can then make your way to Main Street and turn left to walk up towards the central Ancaster Square and compare modern Callander with its past.

To take in all points make your way down Bridgend, the oldest part of the town, where you can also take in the wonderful view over towards Ben Ledi from the red bridge.

Thanks to Callander Heritage for their help.
